She/Her/Hers

Therapy is a courageous endeavor, so welcome to your first step in finding the right therapist for you.

I am a clinical therapist who firmly believes that everyone could benefit from a safe and sacred place where reflection, vulnerability, processing and healing can begin. Therapy is a wonderful catalyst for change, and I am truly honored to be part of this journey with you. Whether you are seeking individual, family or couple’s therapy, I will work collaboratively with you to build rapport and individualize your treatment goals. You are the expert in your life; I am simply a vessel throughout your therapeutic journey as we identify your strengths, resources and abilities to overcome any obstacle that comes your way. I strive to be an inclusive therapist by honoring and valuing my client’s complex and multilayer identities, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I am also a LGBTQIA affirming therapist, welcoming sexual, gender, and relationship diversity in the work that I do.

My clinical interests include working with marginalize groups, complex trauma such as sexual/physical/emotional abuse and severe neglect, depression, anxiety, life-stage transitions, school-related concerns, parent coaching, stress-management, divorce and post-divorce issues, self-esteem, couples conflict, grief & loss.

Educational Background/Clinical Approach:

I obtained my Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University right outside of Chicago, IL. Prior to my studies at Northwestern, I studied at Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Family Community Services with a concentration in Child and Youth Development.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Michigan and a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. I use evidence base integrative therapeutic orientations to address the needs of my client systems’. These interventions include but are not limited to, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Experiential and Structured Family Therapy, Art and Play Therapy, and Parent Child Interaction Training (PCIT).

Outside of Therapy:

To be the best version of myself, and the best therapist to you and your family, I must practice self-care. Outside of therapy, you can catch me re-energizing myself by spending time with my husband, son, extended family members and friends. I love the outdoors, riding my bike, playing corn-hole, card games and having quiet nights next to a bonfire. I am a huge dog lover. I also enjoy photography, swimming in the ocean, dancing, watching funny Tik Tok videos and when time permits, watching a few movies and shows. I also like to paint and create DIY projects (although I must confess, I am not that great). I am a world traveler, who seeks wisdom from meeting, engaging and learning from other people’s point of view. But most importantly, whether in or outside of therapy, I strive to empower those who feel powerless, reminding them of the light, potential and beauty inside of themselves.
