Patrick believes that the therapeutic relationship is one that allows the client to thrive and be, however that may look like for that individual. He provides an environment in which an individual is allowed to express themselves to be heard and validated. He provides a multi-modal and philosophical approach to provide individuals seeking change the ability to strengthen what abilities they already possess, develop new skills and abilities, and utilize those abilities that an individual may not realize they already have.
Patrick believes that all people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. He believes that the one of the main foundations for achieving mental health is the ability to have a healthy and therapeutic relationship with a therapist. Patrick believes that anyone can be taught skills and move past experiences that cause them distress with new solution and action oriented skills and action oriented solutions. Patrick believes that strengthening bonds with people that a client cares for is also an integral component of therapy.
Patrick has a bachelors of Psychology and Criminal Justice with a specialization in Film Studies from Michigan state University. Patrick received A Masters in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. Patrick has worked with a variety of populations with a vast number of differences and problems.
